Privacy notice

Privacy

We collect as little as we can, keep it safe, and use it only to teach and to stay in touch with you.

This notice explains how Tooley House ("we") handles personal information. Tooley House is run by Brendan Ellis, who is responsible for your data. Contact: hello@tooleyhouse.com.

What we collect

  • Parent or guardian name and contact details.
  • Your child's first name, school year, school and subjects or areas of interest.
  • Notes on sessions and progress, including the weekly notes we send you.
  • Messages you send us and scheduling details.

We do not ask for dates of birth or more personal detail than teaching requires.

How we use it

To arrange and deliver sessions, write progress notes, communicate with you, and handle invoices. We rely on the contract with you and our legitimate interest in running the service. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

Only the services needed to run the business, such as email, video calling, scheduling and payments. Each is bound by its own data protection terms. We share nothing with schools or third parties without your agreement, unless the law or a safeguarding concern requires it.

How long we keep it

For as long as your child is working with us, and then for up to two years, unless we must keep financial records longer by law.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold, or object to how we use it. Write to hello@tooleyhouse.com. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or the data protection authority where you live.
